“And when you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they will be seen by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 

But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

“And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

“Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.

Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. ‘Give us this day [g]our daily bread. ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Matt. 6:5-13

Opportunity to establish kingdom government v. 9,10: Isa. 9: 6,7: For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders

And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity.

The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

Jesus coming to earth can be likened to special ops in the military.

He came to disarm the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

Jesus’ victory cleared the way for the church and ground troops to enter and drive out the enemy’s influence to establish kingdom rule where the enemy once ruled.

This is what Jesus accomplished through His victory over Satan

As a born-again believer, you have become a member of the Lord of heaven’s army.

Now start your training in spiritual warfare against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and evil spirits in the heavenly places.

The objective is to establish the kingdom of heaven here on earth as we await Jesus return.

The kingdom of heaven is where God rules in the heart of the believer and the believer rules over their circles of influence.  

Establishing the kingdom of heaven here on earth requires Learning how to rule in Kingdom Authority.

This authority consists of executing your authority over the spirit realm and removing their influence from our circles of influence.

God’s authority is the only authority that Satan and his demons will submit to.

As a believer your God given authority gives you the authority to carry out God’s will for “YOUR” life. (1Thess. 4: 3-7)

The goal is to repossess all that was given over to Satan through Adam’s disobedience to God starting with your mind. 2Cor. 10: 3-5

Once we have mastered taking spiritual authority over the spirits working in our personal lives, we are now able to take authority over spirits working in our environment.

Example:

And a centurion’s slave, who was highly regarded by him, was sick and about to die. When he heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders asking Him to come and save the life of his slave.

When they came to Jesus, they earnestly implored Him, saying, “He is worthy for You to grant this to him; for he loves our nation, and it was he who built us our synagogue.”

Now Jesus started on His way with them; and when He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself further, for I am not worthy for You to come under my roof; for this reason I did not even consider myself worthy to come to You, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

“For I also am a man placed under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.”

Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled at him, and turned and said to the crowd that was following Him, “I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.”

When those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the slave in good health. Luke 7:2-10

Then they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee. And when He came out onto the land, He was met by a man from the city who was possessed with demons; and who had not put on any clothing for a long time, and was not living in a house, but in the tombs.

Seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me.”

For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had seized him many times, and he was bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard, and yet he would break his bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert.

And Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered him. They were imploring Him not to command them to go away into the abyss.

Now, there was a herd of many swine feeding there on the mountain, and the demons implored Him to permit them to enter the swine.

And He gave them permission. And the demons came out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned. Luke 8:26-33

Therefore, a good soldier of Christ Jesus doesn’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them.
