Renewing Your Mind: A Transformational Journey

Section 1: The Concept of Renewing Your Mind

The Bible instructs us to renew our minds, which involves replacing our thoughts with God’s. You do this by learning to speak things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.

This is not a mere suggestion but a powerful tool for transformation. When your mind is aligned with God’s thoughts, your life will inevitably follow suit.

The objective is to establish the kingdom of God culture here on earth

God says, “Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by renewing your mind, so that you may prove God’s will, which is good, acceptable, and perfect. Rom. 12:1,2

Renewing your mind

To effectively renew your mind and establish a kingdom culture belief system in practical terms, you can consider incorporating the following steps:

  1. Train your brain: Train your senses in the word of righteousness as mentioned in Hebrews 5: 11-14.

This involves immersing yourself in the teachings of the Bible, seeking guidance from spiritual mentors, and practicing discernment through prayer and reflection.

2. Immerse your mind with truth: Study and meditate on Scripture, as stated in 2 Timothy 3:16. Dedicate time for daily reading and reflection, engage in Bible study groups or discussions, memorize key verses, and apply the teachings of the Bible to daily life situations.

3. Prayer: Renew your mind daily through prayer, and listen to God, according to 1 Thessalonians 5:16-23.

Seek spiritual transformation through prayer and reflection, and actively engage in the process of unlearning previous beliefs incompatible with God’s word.

By actively engaging in these practical steps, you can renew your mind and establish a belief system aligned with biblical principles, thus establishing a kingdom culture belief system in your life.

Specific practical methods for immersing the mind with truth through the study and meditation of Scripture include:

1. Setting aside dedicated time for daily reading and reflection.

2. Engaging in Bible study groups or discussions.

3. Incorporating memorization of key verses.

4. Applying the teachings of the Bible to daily life situations.

To actively engage in the process of unlearning previous beliefs incompatible with God’s word, one can:

1. Intentionally align thoughts and actions with biblical principles.

2. Seek spiritual transformation through prayer and reflection.

3. Actively engage in the process of replacing old beliefs with new, God-centered beliefs.

Proving God’s will is not a passive act but an active engagement of our God-given capacity to think. Through reflective thinking, we can personally validate God’s word and its relevance to our lives. This is a powerful way to strengthen our faith and align our thoughts with God’s.

When left unattended, our minds can become a playground for negative thoughts. However, when we consistently nurture our spirit-being through communion with the Holy Spirit, our minds are influenced by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit within us.

This leaves us with a choice: to align our thoughts with God’s truth or to let our minds wander aimlessly. The power to shape our thoughts lies within us.

From the moment you are born, your mind starts gathering data and knowledge through your senses. For example, you learn from touch that heat can cause pain, so you become cautious around heat.

You have a subconscious and conscious mind, a lower, sub, and higher consciousness. Your belief system is hidden in your subconscious mind. That’s who you really are the hidden mind.

Your mind can be compared to a computer. The heart of the computer is the hard drive, which stores the operating system, applications, and data files such as documents, pictures, and music that your computer uses. The subconscious mind can be compared to the hard drive of your computer.

The computer monitor is used for data processing that displays information in pictorial form. The conscious mind can be compared to the monitor of your computer.

The human mind filters information through your established belief system and downloads what it deems important to the subconscious mind.

The mouth speaks out of the heart, the subconscious mind. This is why we have to deal with our belief system. As a man thinks in his heart (mind), so is he.

The conscious mind is like your monitor. It shows you what it wants you to see, but it never shows you everything. That’s what we are like as people.

Everything begins with your belief system. Your belief system is a set of beliefs or principles that help you interpret your everyday reality, understand, organize, and make sense of the world.

Unfortunately, everything you have learned since coming into the world is based on a fallen world system of wisdom established by Satan.

However, through its wisdom, the world did not come to know God. They would not have crucified the Lord of glory if they had understood.

Therefore, God says, “If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God.  1 Cor. 3:18,19

I once believed that success in the kingdom of God was characterized by physical and material accomplishments and possessions; the more the merrier.

I discovered that success in the kingdom of God is being able to make decisions that align with God’s word in all situations and circumstances is what qualifies as success in the kingdom of heaven.

This aligns with God’s objective of transforming us into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. Through this practice, I discovered that you can remain happy at all times because you control the outcome of your state of mind and well-being.

One of the challenges of renewing the mind is professing believers’ lack of faith in themselves in Christ. This poor self-perspective makes the professing believer susceptible to Satan’s attacks on their position in Christ.

Because of this poor self-perspective, Satan is able to create reasonable doubt in the believer’s mind concerning what is possible and what is not due to past failures, mistakes, and discouragements of the past!

These past failures, mistakes, and discouragements of the past affect them for the rest of their life, living in the past, leaving the believer to always lean toward the worst-case scenario in life’s situations.

By leaning toward the worst-case scenario, the professing believer’s loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. Leaning toward the worst-case scenario prevents professing believers from receiving anything from God. James 1: 5-8

Therefore, we want to develop a new belief system, a new way of thinking based on God’s word concerning life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and truth.

To develop this new belief system based on the word of God, God says, “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.1 Pet. 2:1-3

The scriptures say, “How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word. With all my heart, I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your commandments.

I have treasured Your word in my heart so that I may not sin against You. Blessed are You, LORD; teach me Your statutes. With my lips, I have told of all the ordinances of Your mouth.

I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies as much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts and regard Your ways. I shall delight in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.

Deal generously with Your servant, that I may live and keep Your word. Open my eyes, that I may behold wonderful things from Your Law. I am a stranger on the earth; do not hide Your commandments from me.” – Psalm 119:9-19

There are practical steps we can take to renew our minds and establish the kingdom belief system. Study the word of God to show yourself approved. Rightly divide the word of God. The most practical way to develop a new belief system based on the word of God is to practice righteousness.

The Bible says, “The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

No one who has been born of God practices sin because His seed remains in him, and he cannot sin continually because he has been born of God.

By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: [d]anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God. 1 John 3: 3-10-

Mastering the Art of Mind Control: A Journey to Self-Empowerment

Learning to control your mind away from unwanted thoughts isn’t easy. It takes hard work and plenty of focus. Some days, your unwanted thoughts might take a toll on you.

But what’s important is that you avoid thinking, “Can you control your mind?” because you certainly can. This journey of self-control is empowering, and it’s within your reach.

Here are five tips to help you learn how to control your mind:

  1. Practice focusing on the word of God. Through constant reading, meditating, and studying, you must fill your soul, the center of your reasoning, will, emotions, and intellect, with the word of God.

It is the word of God, the only truth that allows you to take control of your mind. This gives you spirit-being more control of your mind and life.

Focusing on the word of God allows you to bring all thoughts that go against the word of God captive to the word of God. 2 Cor. 10: 3-6

  1. Include positive affirmations in your self-talk rather than put-downs. Remember who you are in Christ according to who God created you to be.
  2. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:12,13
  3. Through faith, all things are possible for me.
  4. I have the mind of Christ.
  5. I am created in the image and likeness of God.

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer me who lives, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Gal. 2:20

I know how to get along with little and how to live in prosperity; in every circumstance, I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, of having abundance and suffering. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

  1. Take a pause during your day to slow your mind down to break the monotony. .

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46:10,11

Therefore, do not waste your confidence, which is a great reward. You need endurance so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. Heb. 10:35,36

  1. Give things that once triggered negative thoughts a new meaning. See the good in whatever is happening. Ask the question, “How is God allowing this for my good in transforming me into the image of Christ”?

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that testing your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4

  1. Intentionally practice being calm by presenting your requests to God in every situation through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. This will allow the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

This will allow you to experience God working on your behalf, strengthening your confidence in approaching God: He hears us if we ask anything according to his will. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. 1 John 5: 14,15

Why is it important to control your mind?

Having control over your mind gives you control over your life. As a man thinks so is he. This is how we stand against the devil’s schemes.

Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Eph. 6:10-12

Sometimes, we have to control our thoughts against thoughts that seem positive but can actually lead us to something negative or upsetting.

It’s important to be realistic about our environment and have healthy optimism. Being too positive, to the point where it’s toxic, isn’t good for our minds either. Recognizing and controlling that is just as important as managing our unwanted thoughts. Your offensive weapons are the word o0f God and prayer.

What are the benefits of controlling your mind?

Being in control of your thoughts allows you to carry out the will of God for your life. God’s will is that you should be sanctified (set it apart for God’s special use and purpose), that you should avoid sexual immorality, that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God. 1 Thess. 4: 3-5

God says in His word, “In a wealthy home, some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay.

The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.

Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.

Opponents must be gently instructed in the hope that God will grant them repentance, leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. 2 Tim. 2:20-22

The Word of God

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Tim. 3: 16,17

This new belief system will be the standard for evaluating, judging, and validating our life experiences and provide the standard for what is acceptable and what is not. You are responsible for upholding all things by the word of God’s power.

As a born-again believer no longer conformed to the world, “you,” spirit being,” are now responsible for building a life and community that represents the kingdom of heaven here on earth based on the word of God.  Heb. 1:3,4; 1 Cor. 11:7

This provides a distinct identity for us as born–again believers. These biblical truths and perceptions are the only foundation for spiritual unity, growth, and oneness of mind, where everyone operates in unconditional love, which requires no change but inspires change.

Our biblical perspectives are our focus as we establish the kingdom culture that keeps us out of the world system. This is the standard of the born-again believer, which produces our reality, the only reality that matters.  Rom. 12: 1,2

Our biblical perspective provides an explanation of how and why we do things as we do. These principles and perspectives will be passed along from generation to generation through our testimonies, scripture, training, teaching, and lifestyles.

This gives the kingdom structure and provides security, stability, peace of mind, clarity, and total assurance that you are in line with God in your life and service to God and humanity. It develops a state of overwhelming confidence that you are in line with God and following God according to His word.

Before being born-again, your mind could not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to it, and cannot understand them because your mind has been programmed to love and pursue things created rather than God the creator. Rom. 1: 21-25

Therefore, you must program your mind not to love this world or the things it offers you. The world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a desire for everything we see, and an overwhelming sense of pride in our achievements and possessions.

These are not from the father but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. 1 John 2:15-17

This deceptive world system encourages humanity to determine one’s worth by possessions and status. This worldly evaluation of oneself has created an identity crisis in most people’s lives.

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. The word for heart is the spirit of the mind. It is the subconscious; God calls it the hidden man of the heart. It’s the part of the mind where you store the ideas you have accepted as truth. Prov. 23:7

When you read the word heart in the bible, it usually talks about your mind. When David said oh Lord, create in me a new heart and renew in me a new spirit.

The word spirit is a small “s,” which means attitude. David said my sin is a product of my ideas that I allowed to take root. I need you to purify my heart and change my mind and my thinking system.

Every sin you ever committed began with a thought. You cannot sin by mistake; it is impossible. Sin is the result of a thought that came from an idea you allowed to take root.

So, David said to create in me a clean heart. Clean out my thought deposits. He said my beliefs are causing me to sin, change me; I have become my thoughts.

That is why when you were born-again, God gave you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. He took out your stony, stubborn heart and gave you a tender, responsive heart. And He put His Spirit in you so you will follow His decrees and carefully obey His regulations. Ezek. 36:26,27

The Subconscious Mind

You can listen to information, and it just goes through your conscious mind, but those you grab, pull down, and keep get stored in your subconscious, becoming a belief you trust.

Train your subconscious mind using subliminal audio messages. The Bible is ripe with spiritual truths explaining God’s mind and ways. Subliminal learning helps the subconscious human brain adjust to God’s word.

If you want to improve your life, start by improving your attitude and thinking and then start cleaning your life. Improvement doesn’t come overnight; going to a hypnotherapist for one session will solve nothing.

Improvement doesn’t come overnight. Going to a hypnotherapist for one session will solve nothing.

Playing a subliminal product for one week will also have no lasting effects on you. You might feel better, stronger, and more optimistic, but be aware that it is easy to fall back on your old ways.

The first step I suggest is reading the Bible from Genesis through Revelations three times in six months. Do not study it; just power-read it.

In this assignment, you must read 22 to 23 chapters of the Bible daily. You will also need to make sacrifices and decisions to demonstrate your priorities in life.

This will require you to take inventory of what you are doing. Everything is based on the decisions you make. You must be willing to make sacrifices to live the life you want forever.

Making God-honoring, value-based choices will require you to go against your human nature and popular opinion. However, making a choice that you know honors God is much more rewarding in the long run.

Therefore, you must establish fundamental beliefs about yourself in your mind based on the unchangeable Word of God! Love, faith, and hope are the three fundamentals for righteousness and loyalty. 1 Cor. 13:13

These three fundamentals guide you in Loving the Lord your God with all with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31).

Scripture says, “One who pursues righteousness and loyalty finds life, righteousness, and honor.” Prov. 21:21

Subliminal audio training in the principles, concepts, and truths of the word of God will erase barriers and misconceptions and help you grow at your true potential.

Being an achiever means saying No when necessary and standing up for your biblical values and principles. Be honest about how you feel regarding what family and societal norms tell you to do.

These three fundamentals—love, faith, and hope—form the basis of reality from which everything flows. They are the fundamentals for living a life that pleases God and is characterized by abundant living.

Fundamentals call attention to the primary issue in pursuing the kingdom of God and His righteousness. It is the key word in making our lives work as God intended for them to work.

Remember, there are no new fundamentals. Fundamentals are old and well-established. Be aware of those who claim to have a new fundamental.

Fundamentals are important to understand, consider, and practice if you wish to live a life that glorifies and pleases God. Don’t look for miraculous signs and wonders as evidence that you are in a relationship with God.

For false Christ and false prophets will arise and provide great signs and wonders to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

Behold, I have told you in advance. So, if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. Matt. 24:24-26

Living a life that glorifies God proves you are in a relationship with God. You consistently walk in the discipline of love, accomplished through faith and hope. With faith, all things are possible, and hope never disappoints.

To please and glorify God, you don’t have to do extraordinary things; you can just do ordinary things extraordinarily well.

You will find that only a few things make eighty percent of the difference in life. Regardless of what area of your life you are working on.

The difference between our ultimate success and failure lies in the degree to which we are willing to seek out, study, and work on those few things.

After a while of listening to my state-of-mind-changing audio, you will notice such a huge difference in yourself and your happier frame of mind that there will be no doubt in your mind that you made a good choice going subliminal with my training audio!

Before undertaking this step to implement the fundamentals of love, faith, and hope, you must ask the following questions: What are the most important few things that will make the major difference in implementing these fundamentals in my life?

Understanding and practicing them is the first intelligent step toward accomplishing your outcomes and living your new life in Christ.

If you want your life to change, you must change. If you change, everything will change for you. If you get better, everything will get better for you.

If you will change your beliefs and habits, refine your thinking, and accept some new disciplines, if you will turn the corner from where you have been in the past to go for a new life in the future, God has promised remarkable things for your life.

Programming your mind in God’s truth concerning life, liberty, your pursuit of happiness, and the truth is crucial to understanding who and what sort of person you have become since birth and why you relate to others the way you do. Rom. 3:9-18

This allows you to determine what changes have to be made in your mind to represent God in your life. (Rom. 12: 1-3, Eph. 4:17-32)

Differentiating between thoughts aligned with God’s word and thoughts influenced by the world’s wisdom requires intentional discernment and reflection. Here are a few ways to help differentiate between the two:

1. Measure against Biblical Truth: Compare your thoughts and beliefs with the teachings and principles found in the Bible. If a particular thought aligns with and is supported by the Word of God, it is likely aligned with God’s word. On the other hand, if a thought contradicts or deviates from biblical principles, it may be influenced by the world’s wisdom.

2. Seek Guidance from Spiritual Mentors: Engage with individuals who demonstrate a deep understanding of scripture and seek their counsel on the thoughts and beliefs you are grappling with. Their wisdom and insights can help you discern whether your thoughts are aligned with God’s word or influenced by worldly wisdom.

3. Evaluate the Source: Consider the source of the thoughts or beliefs. Are they rooted in materialism, self-centeredness, or worldly success, or do they reflect humility, love, and righteousness as exemplified in the Bible? Thoughts influenced by the world’s wisdom often prioritize worldly gain and self-gratification, whereas thoughts aligned with God’s word prioritize spiritual growth, love, and service to others.

4. Prayer and Reflection: Regularly spend time in prayer and reflection, seeking God’s guidance and wisdom in evaluating your thoughts. Through prayer, you can invite the Holy Spirit to illuminate your mind and provide discernment between thoughts aligned with God’s word and those influenced by the world’s wisdom.

By actively engaging in these practices, you can develop a deeper understanding of discerning between thoughts aligned with God’s word and thoughts influenced by the world’s wisdom, ultimately aligning your mind with the truth of the scriptures.

Program your mind where you want to go, and your mind will find it. What you focus on, you strengthen! This new life is about who you become, not what you accomplish or possess.

You will only change when your belief system changes. So, hopefully, you have given your life to the Lord to do the most challenging thing in the world: change your belief system.

Remember, you are still in momentum, so achieving the results you believe in will take a while.
