Now that the sin debt has been paid, God is now at peace with humanity. God’s need for a blood sacrifice for sin has been satisfied through Jesus’ death. Eph. 2:11-22, Heb. 9:22
Although God has made peace with humanity, humanity is still under the condemnation of sin and has to make peace with God if it wants to have a relationship with and spend eternity with God.
When you were born-again “You” spirit got saved!
Your soul, the seat of your emotions, which was contaminated by sin at birth, did not get saved, it is being saved. God calls it your sin nature; it seeks to be independent of God in expressing itself in life. Rom. 7:1-25.
To make peace with God humanity must accept God’s offer of peace (salvation) which starts with being born-again through faith in God’s sacrifice of Jesus His only begotten son which instituted a new covenant.
That new covenant is, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind” and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27
1 John 5:2,3: This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,
This offer of salvation is really an offer to go back to your God created position with an opportunity to reconnect with God and regain your position over creation.
1 John 3:2,3: Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known.
But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
Hebrews 13:4: Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
Ephesians 5:3: But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.
1 Corinthians 6:18: Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
Colossians 3:5: Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
